Calgary Opera closes its season with Rossini’s popular hit, The Barber of Seville. Premiered in 1816 at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, The Barber tells the story of love and deception as two men struggle to win the heart of the beautiful and fair Rosina. The Barber’s playful and highly energetic score is now recognized the world over. Calgary Opera is excited to conclude its season with this much-loved masterpiece.
