Opera Camp - The Mikado
After a very successful inaugural Opera Camp in 2013, Calgary Opera will once again offer a camp for children ages 10-15 as part of their Opera in the Village Summer Opera Festival. The camp itself will be held at Fort Calgary, Monday, August 11 through Friday, August 22 with two free public performances on the Festival’s mainstage in East Village August 22 and 23.
Music, scripts, costumes, props, educational materials, professional instruction and qualified supervision are all included. Just bring a bag lunch and lots of enthusiasm for a truly magical experience.
Enrolment is limited to 30 participants, on a first-come-first-served basis, so register now to avoid disappointment.
Registration acceptance is not audition-based. Parts will be assigned after the second day of camp.
