One of the signature galas of Calgary’s Arts scene, Dinner on the Set, took place on Saturday, April 26 on the set of Tosca. It was a grand success, earning more than $140,000 in support of Calgary Opera. After a convivial lobby reception, guests were invited into the main auditorium to view an inspiring presentation by Calgary Opera’s emerging artists. Guests then took their seats for dinner at elegantly decorated tables that were pre-set on the stage. Guests were treated to the singing of favourite arias between courses during the skillfully-prepared meal by Infuse Catering. Dinner was followed by an engaging live auction by Frank Hunt.
This high-toned event is Calgary Opera’s main fundraiser of the year. All funds raised go towards supporting Calgary Opera’s Training Fund. Calgary Opera would like to thank all the patrons of Dinner on the Set of Tosca for their ongoing support, and for making the evening unforgettable.
