In an Ipsos Reid study, 90% of Canadians believe that arts are important to enhancing the quality of life in their communities and 96% of Canadians believe that arts are an essential part of their childrens’ education. In the same study, as many parents said they want their children to play an instrument as to play sports.

Companies such as Calgary Opera are integral to building a community of skilled, professional music and arts teachers whose expertise and inspiration affects tens of thousands of young people who take classes in music and arts.

A recent national study revealed that more Canadians attend live performing arts events than professional sports.

Corporations donated more than $800,000 during the 2006-2007 season through Corporate Donations, Corporate Sponsorships or Gifts in Kind.

Corporate donations to Calgary Opera supports mainstage productions as well as Education and Outreach programs that involve thousands of students in Calgary and southern Alberta.

Corporate donations up to $4,999.999 receive a tax receipt. Companies that donate are listed in our program (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).  Corporate Sponsorships start at $5,000.
