Celebrating Canada Day with Calgary Opera
This Canada Day, Calgary Opera joined Cultural Carousel at City Hall! We showcased some of our most extraordinary costumes, designed by Head of Wardrobe Heather Moore — and of course, we got to meet opera-curious Calgarians of all ages as they stopped by for an up-close look.
Led by Stephania Romaniuk, Director of Learning & Engagement, our Cultural Carousel appearance was the latest in a summer of exciting events. Join us for the next ones:
- THU JUL 9, 5:15 PM at BMO Centre for Taste of Stampede — featuring an epic cook-off between soprano Helen Hassinger and Calgary Philharmonic trumpeter Adam Zinatelli;
- FRI JUL 17, 7-8:00 PM for a live sidewalk concert outside Amato Gelato, as part of Summer on 17th!
