Audition Notice: Arias + Ales 2026/27!
Arias + Ales is back for 2026/27!
In partnership with Best of Kin Social (1059 14 St SW, Calgary), our opera pubs are low-key high notes to a full house — and you could be a part of it! Auditions for all our Arias + Ales events happen SEP 10 and SEP 11 from 4:00-6:30 PM — if you want to show off your talents, right in the heart of Calgary, this is your scene.
This season we have 4 events, and each of these is a double performance (both performances will use the same repertoire). Events will take place on SEP 20, NOV 8, MAR 14 and APR 25.
For all events:
1st performance
- Doors at 4:00 PM,
- Performance at 5:30 PM
2nd performance
- Doors at 7:15 PM
- Performance at 7:45 PM
The evening will run approximately 5 hours in total, with an hour of music performed in two halves for each performance.
Auditions for all events will be held on SEP 10 & SEP 11 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Audition registration ends Sep 8.
Please bring 2 contrasting selections to your audition. Operatic arias are preferred, but you may also bring musical theatre standards or art songs.
If selected for the first event, we will be providing rehearsals during the week of September 14th. If you are selected for the other events, rehearsal times will be selected closer to the performance dates.
For each event (2 performances), there will be a $150 honorarium for selected singers.
